South Downs at the South Eastern Regional Meet 2025
South Downs members attended the 77th Anniversary Meet of the South Eastern Region. This years theme was the swinging 60s and it was great to see members making an effort, particular shout out to our Treasurer who went as Fred Flintstone. The weekend was full of fun, music and laughter and thankfully the weather was also on our side.
Saturday afternoon saw lots of competition as the games commenced. It was great to see a couple of South Downs kids also join in the fun and they done the DA proud with their effort and enthusiasm . The adults didn’t do too badly either. Whilst South Downs may not of won the overall games, we can hold our heads high as we bought back the trophies for the following

UPDATE - South Downs DA are pleased to announce that it had a successful AGM and a full committee is in place for the next year, including new additions to the team.
South Downs will be holding their AGM, all camping and caravanning members welcome to attend. Please show your membership cards. This is a chance for South Downs members to have your say, so don’t be shy.

Welcome to South Downs DA Brand New Website
South Downs has been without a website for a little while and last summer one of the new committee members offered to look into setting one up. CCC HQ was contacted to inform them of the intention of SDDA setting up a website. At this point they were invited to take part in a trial for a new website provider or to wait until it has finished and review findings.
The decision was taken to wait until the trial had finished and then review along side other website providers to see what was best suited. The decision to wait proved to be advantageous as in November HQ informed its members that all DA websites must migrate to Squarespace by 31st May. As we did not have an existing website and was having to build from scratch the directive had no ill effect for us and simply made the choice for us.
In January we was granted access to the website provider and in earnest the building of the website begun in order to be ready for the 2025 Camping season. Whilst not everything has yet been completed we hope that the essential details are here to find to enable you to make the most of your camping.
